Meet Steve Smith
SA Associates, Principal
Since 2007 Steve has been offering broad insights into the systems of successful companies.
In analytical and strategic roles in commercial lending and business advisory he has worked with and gained valuable exposure from hundreds of small, mid and large-sized companies across many industries and stages of growth.
Following an MBA in finance in 2007, Steve worked with the Country’s top two financial institutions, where he was responsible for detailed financial, procedural and risk management analysis for lending and investment projects, and has been providing effective outsourced CFO services since 2012.
Previously he worked for a global leader in the construction industry. Here he led a regional team towards the reversal of a multi-year trend of declining sales, achieving 17% year-over-year growth including 42% growth in strategically targeted areas.
Steve’s education includes a Masters in Business Administration with a specialization in Finance from the Schulich School of Business at York University, and an Honours Degree in Management Economics from the University of Guelph.
